Automated speed enforcement cameras rotate to new locations in Innisfil

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is reminding drivers that automated speed enforcement (ASE) cameras have rotated to new locations. These cameras help slow down drivers in designated community safety zones, which often include vulnerable road users near schools and community centres. 

Active cameras are now located at:

  • Webster Boulevard, near Lake Simcoe Public School
  • Innisfil Beach Road, near Alcona Glen Elementary School
  • Yonge Street at Lynn Street, Stroud
  • 9th Line, near Goodfellow Public School

Open-air burning ban lifted in Innisfil

Innisfil, ON – Effective immediately, the open-air burning ban in the Town of Innisfil has been lifted.

The ban, in effect since July 28, 2025, was enacted due to prolonged dry conditions across the municipality. Following recent rainfall, fire risk levels have decreased enough to permit safe, responsible burning to resume.

Road closure: 9th Line (CR 27 to 5th Sideroad)

9th Line (County Road 27 to 5th Sideroad) will have intermittent closures from August 25, 2025 at 7 a.m. to October 31, 2025 for hydro pole installations. Work will take place Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
