Town of Innisfil expands automated speed enforcement program to enhance road safety

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is expanding its automated speed enforcement (ASE) program to improve road safety in more community safety zones. The expansion includes the addition of four new cameras to enforce speed limits and a change to the way people dispute or pay a ticket.

Innisfil’s initial ASE program launched in November 2024 with one camera rotating through community safety zones every few months. That camera is now located on 20th Sideroad near Killarney Beach Public School....

Update (March 17 at 8:30 a.m.): All road closures have been lifted as flooding conditions have improved.

With significant rainfall and snowmelt this weekend, the following roads are closed until further notice due to flooding:

  • Maple Road (Belle Aire Beach Road to Spooners Road)
  • Spruce Road (Temple Avenue to Balsam Road)
  • Tall Tree Lane (9th Line to Crystal Beach Road)
  • Buchanan Street (9th Line to Crystal Beach Road)

Innisfil, ON – With significant snowfall this winter, the Town of Innisfil reminds residents to take proactive measures against flooding to help protect people and property.

Over the next couple of days, heavy rain and warmer temperatures are expected, which make localized flooding in low-lying areas and water pooling on roads possible. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb rainfall and snowmelt.
