Plans, Reports and Studies
The Town of Innisfil, in collaboration with many community stakeholders, develops plans, reports and studies that are critical for the reporting, planning and growth of our community.
Strategic Plan
Our Strategic Plan identifies priorities for the community, Council and Town staff until the year 2030. It outlines our actions by providing strategic goals and objectives that are guided by the needs and aspirations of the community. Our strategic themes include Grow, Sustain, Connect and Serve.
Official Plan
The Town's Official Plan provides staff and Council with a vision for managing growth and development. It sets out a comprehensive framework for land use decision-making in our community. Some policies in the Official Plan have immediate and visible effects, and some policies are long-term.
Master plans
Innisfil is one of the fastest growing communities in the province of Ontario. That's why we have worked hard to make sure we have plans in place for future growth. Explore our master plans to learn more about where we're headed on a variety of community elements, including:
- Arts and culture
- Asset management
- Fire services
- Parks and recreation
- Residential and commercial servicing
- Stormwater management
- Trails
- Transportation
Community Health and Wellness Strategy
Our Community Health and Wellness Strategy guides the Town and many community organizations, agencies and volunteers to think, act and work together, in the short- and long-term, to improve residents' health and wellness. The strategy helps us:
- Build on and align the great work already underway
- Seek new opportunities for integrating health and wellness into all that we do
- Bring greater focus to community needs
Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
We are committed to a community where everyone can live, work and play. Our Multi-Year Accessibility Plan highlights this commitment and guides our actions and strategies to prevent and remove barriers for people living with disabilities.
Youth Engagement Strategy
Our Youth Engagement Strategy, 'The Future of Youth', provides a roadmap of how we can make the community a more inclusive and attractive place for young people to live and grow. Created with youth, for youth, it contains tips on youth engagement, links to current research, terms to know, and resources detailing the benefits of engaging young people.
Town Campus
Learn about Innisfil's Town Campus, a vision for a community hub that will connect people, resources and experiences. The campus's new Rizzardo Health & Wellness Centre makes community wellness a priority by bringing needed medical services together with healthy community programming. The addition of outdoor elements, gardens and trails help promote healthy behaviour and encourage exploration of our natural environment.
Annual Water Performance Reports
InnServices prepares annual reports on the performance, operations and maintenance of their water systems and wastewater treatment plants. These reports are then submitted to the InnServices Board of Directors and Town Council for approval and public posting.
Energy Consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions
As part of the Province of Ontario's Green Energy Act, we provide annual energy reports on the Town's energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Our Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan outlines resources and measures to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
Traffic Calming Strategy
Our Traffic Calming Strategy provides an approach to guide how traffic calming measures are implemented in the town. The strategy has three components, including a Traffic Calming Design Guide, a 10-Year Traffic Calming Program, and the Town's Updated Traffic Calming Policy.
Transit reports
In partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University, we perform regular analysis of system performance, operations and outcomes of Innisfil Transit. View our Transit reports, which provide updates on the state of the organization for the public.
