Innisfil Accessibility Advisory Committee
The Innisfil Accessibility Advisory Committee (IAAC) is a Province of Ontario-legislated committee that assists Council in removing barriers and improving opportunities for persons with disabilities by promoting the implementation of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) in the Town of Innisfil.
The Town prepares an annual Accessibility Plan, which focuses on the identification, removal and prevention of barriers to persons with disabilities, that are required by the Province of Ontario.
The IAAC is also responsible for the Breaking Down Barriers Awareness Program in local elementary schools.
