Purchasing Services, a division of our Financial Services department, is responsible for the procurement of a large variety of goods, services and construction for the Town of Innisfil and our partner organizations, InnServices Utilities Inc. and the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library. Our "One Town, One Team" organizations work together to find synergies in a collaborative and cost-effective manner.

Sale of surplus assets

When the Town determines that one or more of our tangible assets have met the end of their useful life or when an asset is no longer required (i.e., obsolete, irreparable, etc.), we dispose of it in accordance with our Purchasing procedures and protocols. One method of disposal is through the sale of the surplus asset on the government auction site GovDeals.

About Purchasing Services

Purchasing Services, in collaboration with the Town's respective departments, administers the preparation, issuance, closing and awarding of procurements such as:

  • Request for quotations,
  • Request for proposals,
  • Request for tenders, and
  • Request for pre-qualifications

Purchasing Services works to ensure that the procurement of goods, services and construction contracts are conducted in an open, fair, and transparent competitive bidding environment. Other key services performed include, but are not limited to:
