Animal control

COVID-19 violations

We continuously work with South Simcoe Police Service, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, the Ministry of Health and Ministry of the Solicitor General to ensure the safety of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To report a suspected violation, contact our COVID-19 Enforcement Line at 705-436-3710 or email us at inquiry@innisfil.ca between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. For after-hours reporting, call South Simcoe Police at 705-436-2141.

It is an offence to fail to comply with any provision made under the province's emergency orders or to obstruct any person acting under the orders. Enforcement is performed collaboratively by all parties listed above. Offences are punishable by fines set by the Ontario Court of Justice. Our municipal by-law officers have been given the authority to demand proof of identification and address, and issue tickets.

Municipal law enforcement

Our community standards officers are responsible for the enforcement of municipal by-laws and various provincial statutes, as well as other duties that may be assigned by Council. The officers' main objective is to gain compliance with all Town by-laws.
