War memorial and inaugural Remembrance Day Service
In 2012, the committee proposed constructing a war memorial on the grounds of Innisfil Town Hall as a dignified and lasting tribute to those who have served or are currently serving in Canada's armed forces. It serves to honour the sacrifices of those who died or were affected by conflict.
On November 4, 2012, the inaugural Innisfil Community Remembrance Day Service was held at Town Hall with hundreds of dignitaries, guests and residents in attendance.
