“Whether you’re a resident or a local organization – if you’ve got an idea that could make our community a better place, we want you to apply so we can support you,” said Innisfil Deputy Mayor Lynn Dollin. “Already, we’ve seen the Inspiring Innisfil Fund help schools, local minor league teams, events and a wide range of other grassroots initiatives. With such an impressive amount of funding available, we’ve got a real opportunity to have a positive impact on the community once again.”
“OLG is proud to be a vital part of the town of Innisfil for more than 17 years and we look forward to continuing to build on that support”, said Jake Pastore, OLG’s Director of Municipal and Community Relations. “Each and every year 100 per cent of OLG proceeds are invested in Ontario. From healthcare, to education, to community festivals, OLG proceeds are hard at work in the town of Innisfil and all across our province. And, we appreciate the contribution of our Georgian Downs employees in making life in Innisfil that much richer.”

Over $500,000 has been distributed into the community over the past 4 years with 60 successful applications since 2014.
The Inspiring Innisfil Fund provides grants to eligible community organizations and individuals whose projects or initiatives align with the three pillars of the Town’s Community Strategic Plan Inspiring Innisfil 2020—Community: To dramatically improve the quality of life of Innisfil residents; Tourism, Arts, Culture & Heritage: Showcase Innisfil’s diversity and appeal; or, Economy: Make sure local businesses excel in Innisfil. The grants are funded through proceeds from the Spirit of the Community Dinner & Auction, the Mayor’s Golf Tournament and a portion of the revenues from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) facility at Georgian Downs. Applications are reviewed by the Innisfil Community Grant Review Committee, which is comprised of volunteer community members.
