Facility Closure

The Innisfil Recreational Complex is temporarily closed until further notice due to building damage. Programs and facility bookings are cancelled during this time, including Teen Nights at the Innisfil YMCA. We are working to safely reopen this space as soon as possible. 

Road closure: 9th Line (Yonge Street to 20th Sideroad)

9th Line (Yonge Street to 20th Sideroad) will be temporarily closed on May 22, 2025 from 9 a.m. to noon to support County of Simcoe construction. 

There will be partial access only to local traffic and emergency services. For questions or concerns, please contact Customer Service at 705-436-3710.

Innisfil Fire & Rescue Services responds to fire at Innisfil Recreational Complex

Innisfil, ON – On May 12, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Innisfil Fire & Rescue Services responded swiftly to a fire at the Innisfil Recreational Complex.

As a precaution, the building was safely evacuated before fire crews arrived to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported.

“We’re grateful for the quick actions of staff who evacuated the building and for our crews who responded so rapidly to contain the fire,” said Carla MacDonald, Deputy Fire Chief.

Drainage improvements on Town Campus

The Town of Innisfil has retained Tatham Engineering to undertake drainage improvement work on Town Campus. This project includes:

  • parking lot drainage improvements
  • the installation of a bioretention cell
  • improvements to the stormwater management pond outlet channel near Town Hall

Construction is planned to start on May 14, 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of August 2025.
