Service Disruptions and Road Closures

Road closure: 5th Line and 10th Sideroad

Update: The closure is now scheduled to start July 14, 2025. 

The County of Simcoe is undertaking a culvert replacement on 10th Sideroad (County Road 54) in Innisfil. The original structure has been in service since the 1950s and has reached the end of its useful life. The project will also include other improvements, including road improvements, new steel beam guiderails, and a new pavement wearing surface to improve traffic safety and driving comfort over the bridge.​

Road closure: Lockhart Road (25th Sideroad to Weeping Willow Drive)

Lockhart Road (25th Sideroad to Weeping Willow Drive) will be closed on June 23, 2025 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to road work. This construction is necessary to complete an emergency water service repair. 

Local traffic only—no through access. All access points to Sandycove Acres will remain open.

Road closure: Webster Boulevard (6th Line to Corby Way)

Webster Boulevard (6th Line to Corby Way) will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. on June 30, 2025 to 7 p.m. on July 18, 2025 for development works.

Road closure: 9th Line (County Road 27 to 5th Sideroad)

Update (June 24): This closure has been extended to July 10, 2025.

9th Line (County Road 27 to 5th Sideroad) will be temporarily closed on June 24, 2025 at 7 a.m. to June 27, 2025 at 7 p.m. due to cross culvert installations. Detours in place.

Road closure: 10th Line (Yonge Street to 20th Sideroad)

Update (June 24): This closure has been extended to June 24, 2025 at noon due to working conditions during the heat wave.

10th Line (Yonge Street to 20th Sideroad) will be temporarily closed on June 23, 2025 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for cross culvert installation. Detour routes will be in place.
