Construction impacts at Crossroads Park

Improvements are coming to Crossroads Park in Alcona! The project includes:

  • Resurfacing of the sports courts
  • Extending the existing asphalt pathway to connect the courts to Oriole Crescent
  • Fencing repairs and new park benches

Work is scheduled to start July 2, 2024 and is expected to conclude near the end of the month. The courts will not be available during construction, however, the playground will remain open. 

Road closure: Lebanon Drive (25th Sideroad to Raynor Court)

Lebanon Drive from 25th Sideroad to Raynor Court will be closed on May 27, 2024 at 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. on May 28, 2024 for utility connections.

Road closure: 5th Line (Yonge Street to 10th Sideroad)

5th Line from Yonge Street to 10th Sideroad will be closed at 7 a.m. on May 27, 2024 to approximately 5 p.m. on June 27, 2024 for road construction.

What to expect

During this closure, the contractor (Georgian Paving Ltd.) will be on site to complete full depth road excavation along 5th Line between properties 2630 5th Line and 2526 5th Line. Road closure: Benson Street (Webster Boulevard to Chalmers Crescent)

Update (June 20): The closure has been extended to June 25, 2024 at 7 p.m.

Benson Street from Webster Boulevard to Chalmers Crescent will be closed from May 21, 2024 at 7 a.m. to approximately 7 p.m. on June 21, 2024 for the construction of subdivision servicing. Local traffic will be able to access Benson Street from Ferguson Street.

Temporary Closure: Innisfil Town Square

Update (May 29, 2024): Construction fencing has been removed and Innisfil Town Square is open to the public.

Innisfil Town Square will be temporarily closed starting May 6, 2024 for essential repair work. Construction is expected to be completed by the first week of June. This work is necessary to address concrete repairs and other repair items while the park is still under warranty. Completing these repairs now ensures that the Town avoids related expenses in the future.
