Road closure: Temple Avenue (Spooners Road to Balsam Road)

Temple Avenue from Spooners Road to Balsam Road will be closed from August 12 at 7 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. on August 16, 2024 due to cross culvert replacements at the Temple and Spruce intersection. 

Spruce Road from Temple Avenue to 1041 Spruce Road will also be closed to accommodate the construction work. Local traffic only.

Saint Paul Road from Innisfil Beach Road to Edgar Street will be closed from August 12 at 7 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m. on August 30, 2024 for watermain and sewer connection.

Road closure: Lockhart Road (25th Sideroad to Crescent Road)

Lockhart Road from 25th Sideroad to the east of Crescent Road will be closed from August 6 at 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. on October 21, 2024 for watermain installation and development works.

Blue-green algae bloom confirmed: Lake Simcoe, Town of Innisfil

Update (July 22, 2024): The blue-green algae warning has been lifted. See the latest status of designated beaches across the Simcoe Muskoka region.

SIMCOE MUSKOKA – A blue-green algae bloom has been confirmed on the southeast shoreline of Kempenfelt Bay (Bear Point area) and the southwest shoreline of Lake Simcoe (Innisfil Beach Park area), Town of Innisfil. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is encouraging residents and visitors to exercise caution.

Road closures due to flooding

Update (July 11, 2:38 p.m.): All roads have been reopened.

With the significant rainfall last night, Town staff have been dispatched for flood management operations since approximately midnight. The following roads are closed due to flooding as of July 11, 2024 until further notice: 

  • Buchanan Street from 9th Line to Crystal Beach Road
  • Goodfellow Avenue from 9th Line to Crystal Beach Road
  • Maple Road from Belle Aire Beach Road to Spooners Road
  • Tall Tree Lane from 9th Line to Crystal Beach Road
