7th Line from 20th Sideroad to Lake Simcoe

The Town of Innisfil has completed a Schedule 'C' Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) to facilitate improvements to 7th Line from 20th Sideroad to Lake Simcoe.

Design and construction

The project has been awarded to Tatham Engineering Limited. The design of this project is ongoing, with property acquisition and utility relocations expected to be ongoing through 2025 and into 2026. Construction is planned to start in 2027 with an estimated completion date of fall 2028.

The design of 7th Line from 20th Sideroad to Lake Simcoe will be based on the preferred alternative from the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Schedule 'C' that was completed in 2019. Improvements include:

  • A safe and durable roadway with increased capacity
  • New active transportation infrastructure (sidewalk and multi-use path)
  • New traffic calming features, pedestrian crossings, and intersection improvements
  • New streetscaping/landscaping features
  • Water/wastewater servicing (dependent on the findings of InnServices Servicing Master Plan)
  • Improvements to stormwater and drainage systems
  • Realignment and natural heritage improvements to Banks Creek
