The Town of Innisfil defines “sustainability” as measures and actions that, when taken, aim to ensure sufficient resources are available for both present and future generations. The Orbit Sustainable Development Plan and Checklist and Sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) represent a first step in that regard.

Orbit Sustainability Principles

These principles, developed in consultation with Town staff and area residents, represent a framework and set of requirements to develop Orbit into a world-class sustainable community, one that aims to prevent sprawl, supports appropriate development and fosters community wellness.
