Previn Court Park
Big changes are on the way for Previn Court Park, located at 1160 Quarry Dr. in Innisfil. The improvements are designed to make the park more fun, accessible, and welcoming for everyone.
Planned features
- New playground (see images below)
- Extended trail connections
- Pollinator gardens
- Picnic shade structure
- More park benches
- New cricket pitch
Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2025, with expected completion by spring 2026.
Construction status
The park will be closed during construction. During this period, park neighbours can expect:
- Increased road traffic from construction vehicles
- Higher noise levels during permitted work hours: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays; occasional Saturday work may be required)
The trail between Booth Avenue and the nearby school will remain open. For everyone’s safety, please keep children away from the construction zone. The entire park will be fenced off until work is complete.
New playground highlights
The updated playground will feature:
- Play structures for littles and big kids
- Swings, a spinner, and a zipline
- The Volo: a dynamic play structure packed with climbing, sliding, and bouncing challenges that let kids explore and invest their own style of play
Cricket pitch
This project will convert the existing soccer field to Innisfil's first-ever cricket pitch. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game, similar to baseball, and is one of the fastest-growing sports in Ontario.
The Town's Land & Lake Plan, as approved by Council, identified Previn Court Park as the most suitable location in town for a cricket pitch. This plan was developed with extensive community consultation to:
- take a holistic look at park amenities across town
- balance community demand with site and budgetary constraints
- provide direction for long-term investment in parks and recreation
The current field is unprogrammed and underused. By repurposing it, we're able to give local residents a chance to enjoy cricket without travelling outside of their community!
