Transit
Innisfil Transit can help you get around. Whether you're looking to go shopping or connect to GO Transit for your daily commute, Innisfil Transit can take you where you need to go.
Starting August 6, 2025, Innisfil Transit is switching to a voucher-based system through the Uber app. To avoid any disruption, you can download the new vouchers in advance. There are no changes to Uber Teen accounts at this time.
Using Innisfil Transit
We’ve partnered with Uber to offer discounted rates to help you get around the community. In order to access our discounted rates, you need to download the Uber app.
How it works
Innisfil residents, visitors, and workers using Innisfil Transit will be able to take up to 30 discounted trips per month using Uber vouchers.
When you claim a voucher from Innisfil Transit, it’s automatically added to your Uber account. You can then access discounted rates for eligible rides across Innisfil:
- Travelling to/from a transit hub: Only pay $4.10, $5.20, or $6.20, depending on the transit hub
- Travelling anywhere else in town: A $4 subsidy is applied to all other trips within Town borders
There are four types of discount vouchers available. To ensure you're covered across town, we recommend claiming all four. You can do this by following the pop-up notification in the Uber app or by downloading them directly to your Uber account.
Please note that your Innisfil Transit trip may be "pooled", which means the vehicle will be shared with other riders who are travelling in the same direction. If your ride is pooled, expect additional pick-ups and/or drop-offs along your trip.

Requesting an increase in the monthly trip limit |
To improve Innisfil Transit and make sure everyone can enjoy it, each resident can only take a maximum of 30 discounted trips each month. If you are someone who depends on Innisfil Transit and you need to go over this limit, you can apply to receive additional vouchers, up to 50 discounted trips per month. Monthly limit increase request We will give special consideration to seniors, students and those who depend on Innisfil Transit for work. If we receive your application after the 10th day of the month, you will not be eligible for a trip increase until the next month. |
The Fair Transit Program |
The Fair Transit Program provides a 50% discount on all rides to eligible passengers. This helps remove financial barriers and provides low-income residents with access to transit. You can find the eligibility requirements within the Fair Transit Program Application. Fair Transit Program application Once you're enrolled in the program, you'll be exempt from the 30 rides per month limit, and you'll get two free return trips to the Innisfil Food Bank each month. |
The Families with Multiple Youths Pilot |
Families with multiple children can apply for our new voucher pilot, the Multiple Youth-Based Voucher Pilot. With this voucher, Innisfil residents with two or more children (children or teenagers under 18 years of age) can book multi-passenger trips through the Uber app when travelling to/from one of our transit hubs. Each voucher is valid for up to 15 rides per month, from now until December 31, 2025. To participate in the program, you must:

The cost of the trip is set by the fare to/from the transit hub. The voucher will be automatically applied to an eligible ride if you haven’t reached your monthly limit of 15 trips. Unused trips will not roll over to the next month. |
Reporting an issue |
If you were charged an incorrect rate by Uber while using Innisfil Transit, please report this in the Uber App. If you don't get a resolution within three to five business days, please complete the Fare Refund Request form. Try closing the app first (if possible, quit the app completely rather than keeping it running in the background). If it still doesn't work when you reopen it, it might be an older version of the app. Please check for any updates from your phone’s App Store, or you may need to delete and then reinstall the Uber app. For all other issues, please reach out to Customer Service at 705-436-3710 or at inquiry@innisfil.ca. |
