We offer a variety of tax programs and rebates to eligible property owners in the Town of Innisfil. Explore the different programs to find out if you qualify.

Tax Adjustment Form

Complete one of the following tax adjustment forms if you qualify for property tax relief:

Low-Income Seniors/Low-Income Persons with Disabilities Tax Relief Program

We administer the County of Simcoe's property tax relief program (By-Law 7071-24) for low-income seniors and low-income persons with disabilities for property owners in Innisfil. This program provides for the cancellation of tax increases up to $250 annually to help those experiencing financial hardship. To qualify, you must:

  • be or be the spouse of:
    • A low-income senior who receives payments under the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) or Ontario Works Act; or
    • A low-income person with disabilities who receives financial assistance under the Ontario Disability Support Program Act
  • be the property owner and have owned the property for at least 12 consecutive months before the application

You can submit an application annually between June 1 and December 31. Applications cannot be made for prior years.

Heritage Property Tax Relief Program

We recognize that heritage properties may require unique care or additional maintenance compared to modern buildings. Innisfil Town Council and the County of Simcoe established the Heritage Property Tax Relief Program to support property owners in maintaining these properties. Farm Property Class Tax Rate Program

If your property is classified as farmland and is used for agricultural purposes, you may qualify for the Farm Property Class Tax Rate Program. Visit Agricorp to learn more about the eligibility and how to apply.

Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program

If your property is classified as a managed forest, you may be eligible for the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program. Visit the Government of Ontario for more information about the eligibility requirements and tax benefits.

Conservation Land Tax Incentive Program

If part of your property has eligible natural heritage feature, you may qualify for a 100% property tax exemption through the Conservation Land Tax Incentive Program. Visit the Government of Ontario to learn more about the program and find out how to apply.
