The Town of Innisfil offers a variety of wellness opportunities for families to connect, learn, and strengthen relationships.

Family Wellness Nights

Family Wellness Nights are free events that promote community togetherness, belonging, and the well-being of Innisfil’s children, youth, and families.

We held our first Family Wellness Night on March 26, 2024 at Alcona Glen Elementary School.

2025 Family Wellness Nights: Growing Together

This year's theme, "Growing Together" celebrates the diversity that makes our growing community strong! There will be a variety of activities at Family Wellness Nights, including:

  • Interactive family activities that encourage connection, creativity, and well-being
  • Information sessions and workshops
  • A community resource fair showcasing local programs and services
  • Wellness and social activities for children, youth, and families
  • Flavours of Our Community featuring cultural dishes from local food vendors

  • Brain Story Certification: Learn about the science of brain development and how our earliest experiences can affect our long-term mental and physical health in this free, in-depth course for families and professionals. The course is provided by the University of Oxford, in partnership with the Alberta Family Wellness Initiative.
  • Brain Builders Video Series: Learn about child brain development in this series of short YouTube videos on the Alberta Family Wellness Initiative’s channel.
  • Building Connections for Resilient Kids Video Series: Connections with adults can help children build resilience. Explore how adults can make positive connections with children to strengthen their resilience in these short videos from the Community Resilience Coalition of Guelph & Wellington.
  • Stress and Resilience Resources: Parents and practitioners can find information, videos, and activities about toxic stress and resilience in this guide developed by Harvard University’s Center on the Developing Child.
