Street Sweeping
The Town of Innisfil conducts street sweeping each spring. Street sweeping helps our roads look their best and protects Innisfil's water quality and the environment by keeping sand, salt, and debris out of ponds, rivers and streams. It also keeps storm drains clear so rain and melted snow have somewhere to go.
Sweeping routes
Street sweeping typically begins in mid-April and finishes by June, weather permitting. Between town staff and a contractor, street sweeping takes care of nearly 200 km of road across Innisfil.

How you can help
You can help street sweepers by:
- Avoiding parking on the street when street sweepers are in your neighbourhood—sweepers may not return to streets with parked cars
- Refraining from piling sand on the road
- Being patient as street sweepers drive very slowly
- Understanding that when sweeping is taking place, water is used to keep dust particles down but there will be some dust particles in the air
