2024 Speak Your Mind: Let's Talk Youth Mental Health

On World Mental Health Day, youth in Grades 6 to 12 and their parents and caregivers are invited to learn more about mental health, explore available services, and get tips and tools for navigating the teenage years. 

  • Date: Thursday, October 10, 2024
  • Time: 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. (doors open for sign-in and dinner at 5:30 p.m.)
  • Location: Innisfil Town Hall (2101 Innisfil Beach Road)

The event features an interactive workshop for youth and caregivers, facilitated by Shauna Eisen of Songbird Occupational Therapy. The workshop will help youth and families learn what mental health is all about and the role it plays in each of our lives, as well as explore common myths, real world stories and difficult situations to learn practical tools for how we can support the mental health of our friends, our family, and ourselves. 

Other available activities include:

  • Information about local mental health services and Q & A opportunities
  • Expert panel discussion for parents and caregivers
  • Wellness and coping skills activities for youth
  • Light dinner and refreshments
