Never cross floodwaters

Crossing flood water can be extremely dangerous. Here are some reasons why you should never cross floodwaters:

If you're on foot, fast water could sweep you away
If you're in a car, don't drive through flood water. The water may be deeper than it looks, and your car can get stuck or swept away
If you're caught in fast-rising water and your car stalls, leave it and save yourself and your passengers

You should avoid cross bridges if the water is high and flowing quickly.
