Council Discretionary Grant Program
The Council Discretionary Grant Program provides financial assistance to eligible applicants looking to:
- Enhance the quality of life for Town of Innisfil residents
- Showcase Innisfil's diversity and appeal
- Contribute to community excellence
The program may support activities related to sports, seniors, and youth organizations, as well as special events, arts, culture, heritage, and the economy. Review the full program guidelines for detailed information.
How to apply
We accept applications on an ongoing basis. Please submit your application with at least 60 days of notice. Applicants can request up to $1,000 per year.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Council Discretionary Grant Program, applicants must be:
- An Innisfil resident or represent a not-for-profit organization or charity group based in Innisfil
- At least 18 years old (or apply with parental or guardian consent)
Grants must align with our Strategic Plan. We may require applicants to provide more information necessary to evaluate a funding request, including financial and banking statements.
Ineligible requests
This grant program cannot be used for:
- Subsidizing normal operating costs or bursaries
- Funding requests that aren't intended for the recipient organization
- Sports teams that do not meet community benefit criteria
- For-profit businesses
Successful applicants are not eligible for subsequent grants for the same purpose.
Evaluation process
Once a complete application is received, staff reviews requests of less than $500 and determines approval. Council reviews requests of more than $500 at a regular Council Meeting and determines approval within 60 days.
