Skating trail now open at Innisfil Town Square

Innisfil, ON – Sharpen your skates as Innisfil’s first ice-skating trail is now open as part of the new Town Square.

The refrigerated trail loops through the Innisfil Town Square providing 240 metres of ice-skating surface. The ice-skating trail is free for anyone to enjoy and open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., weather dependent.

The Town Square is centrally located at 971 Innisfil Beach Road, between the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library and Lakeside Retirement, making it easy for people to walk or wheel to. Limited parking is also available at the Library’s Lakeshore branch and along Innisfil Beach Road.

The Town Square includes washrooms, stage and event space, space for food trucks and market vendors, and a trail, playground, and fire pit. The splash pad and additional water feature will be open in summer 2023.

This project was informed by extensive community consultation and residents are invited to see their ideas put into action as part of the grand opening event on January 27, 2023. The grand opening will showcase the new community gathering space with entertainment, live music, skate rentals and more.
