Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil and the Innisfil Heritage Advisory Committee invite community members to take a stroll through history. Join us as we explore the commercial district of the historical Village of Lefroy through a guided walking tour on Sunday, October 6 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

The Heritage Walk will start at the Lefroy United Church (931 Church Drive) and will be approximately one kilometre long. Participants can expect to learn about notable heritage properties in the area, the families that helped establish the Village, and municipal heritage matters.

The walk will be guided by members of the Innisfil Heritage Advisory Committee and will feature special guests. These local storytellers are long-time residents of the town with family ties to Lefroy who are volunteering their time to share their stories and knowledge with the event participants.

“I want to thank the Innisfil Heritage Advisory Committee members, volunteer guest speakers, and Town staff who have worked so hard to make this event come to life,” says Mayor Dollin. “The upcoming Innisfil Heritage Walk at Lefroy gives us the opportunity to enjoy an early fall afternoon, understand where we come from as a community, and connect with our neighbours.”

The event will take place rain or shine. Participants are encouraged to wear weather-appropriate clothing. Go to innisfil.ca/Heritage for more information and to pre-register.
