Innisfil Fall Tourism Challenge

New fall tourism challenge encourage businesses to partner together to offer unique fall experiences to encourage tourism to Innisfil

The Town of Innisfil Economic Development Office is excited to launch a new Fall Tourism Challenge designed to spark collaboration, creativity, and community spirit. We invite local business owners to team up and develop unique tourism and culture experiences designed to attract visitors and increase local spending!

Think beyond the storefront—this is your chance to reimagine what’s possible when two or more businesses join forces. From a flower shop and pumpkin patch partnering together to co-host a thanksgiving centrepiece workshop to a restaurant and musician pairing up to offer evenings of live music with dinner, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination.

If businesses can pull together to create a minimum of 5 high-value visitor experiences, the top 10 preferred experiences will be included in a campaign which will benefit from:

  • Marketing and promotional support from the Town at a value of approximately $5,000
  • Increased exposure through cross-promotional efforts
  • Professional photographs taken at your experience and shared with you for future use
  • Increased revenue and foot traffic within your business

We’re looking for creative, fun, and fresh ideas that showcase the best of what our community has to offer – experiences that create memories and keep people coming back.

Ready to get involved?

Go to our Tourism Partner Resources page to learn more. Be sure to submit your application by July 4, 2025 for a chance to be selected for this pilot program and help shape the future of placemaking in Innisfil.

New Transit Survey: We want to hear from you

The Town of Innisfil is developing a Transit Master Plan that will outline how Innisfil’s public transit will change and grow over the next 10 years. We have prepared four potential alternatives for what Innisfil Transit could look like in the future and want to hear from our business sector. Do you like these options? What do you like about them? Take the survey by May 25 to share your feedback.

Resources in Response to U.S. Tariff Concerns

The Town of Innisfil is actively engaged in discussions with a number of partners regarding the impending tariffs. In particular, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, is leading the charge on behalf of Canadian municipalities as it pertains to a number of tariff related impacts, which may include, but are not limited to municipal law enforcement, import and export of goods and services, impacts to municipal procurement and infrastructure projects, and potential impacts on small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Mayor Dollin, Council, and Economic Development staff are participating in these conversations and sharing the feedback of local business stakeholders.

In the meantime, the County of Simcoe Economic Development Office has created a dedicated webpage with comprehensive Tariff Resources to help businesses navigate potential changes. Also found on the site is a short tariff impact assessment created in collaboration with the Western Ontario Wardens Caucus.
