Seasonal changes during COVID-19

The Town of Innisfil is diligently working to keep our community running. Spring is an iconic time of transition, with many key maintenance tasks performed that are vital to the upkeep of our public spaces.

Over the next several weeks, residents may see staff performing regular maintenance of our roads, ditches, sidewalks, medians, trails, buildings, facilities, landscapes, turf areas, sports fields and courts, beaches, playgrounds, pavilions, outdoor washrooms and other park amenities.

Health and Safety

Rest assured that we continue to place the health and safety of our staff and community as our top priority, and we have taken many measures to ensure staff are working safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our pandemic specific policies and procedures include, but are not limited to:

  • Frequent sanitization of vehicles and equipment
  • Use of personal protective equipment
  • Practising physical distancing wherever possible

These policies have been designed in compliance with the provincial orders, with guidance from local health agencies, and with consultation of both staff and management.
