Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is excited to announce the return of Winter Weekends this February. Each weekend will bring free or low-cost events and programs to encourage residents to get active and stay connected this winter.

“We’re inviting residents to beat the winter blues and embrace all Innisfil has to offer,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “We had a blast last year and this February will be no exception, with something fun to look forward to each weekend! We’re grateful to work with community partners to bring back cherished annual traditions while introducing new activities.”

In collaboration with community partners, there will be ice skating, food truck eats, live shows, drop-in programs and more. Some signature events include:

  • Breakfast with Council at the Innisfil Recreational Complex on February 3, 9:30 to 11 a.m.
  • Winter Fun Day at Innisfil Town Square and the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library (Lakeshore Branch) on February 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Cookstown Community Dance presented by the Cookstown & District Chamber of Commerce at the Cookstown Curling Club on February 10, starting at 8 p.m. 
  • Innisfil Historical Society’s “The Way We Were” Family Day event at Knock Community Hall on February 19, 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Youth Skate Night at Innisfil Town Square on February 20, 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Snowtubing at Cookstown Community Park on February 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Innisfil Community Events Corporation’s Polar Bear Dip on February 24, 1:30 p.m. (registration starts at 11 a.m.)

Other activities happening throughout Winter Weekends include the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library’s February Blues Festival, Kids Bingo with the Innisfil Lions Club, free arena skates, drop-in YMCA programs, and Innisfil Spartans hockey games.
