Innisfil, ON – At the inauguration ceremony last evening, the new Town of Innisfil Council for 2022-2026 was sworn in.

The ceremony featured an honour guard, pipe and processional, an Indigenous blessing from Jeff Monague, Elder and Knowledge Keeper, Beausoleil First Nation, an invocation by Rev. Howard Courtney, Innisfil Community Church and a closing blessing by Rabbi Zevi Kaplan, Chabad Innisfil Jewish Community Centre as well as addresses from Mayor Dollin and members of Council. “It was an honour to welcome so many people to Innisfil Town Hall to officially swear in our new council,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “This new council is committed to serving the residents of Innisfil and guiding this community over the next four years. Innisfil is a growing community with so much to offer and this council will be instrumental in helping to shape our exciting and bright future.”

Council’s first regular council meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 7 p.m. This can be viewed in person at Town Hall or online on the Town of Innisfil’s YouTube channel.
