Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is hosting an open house to introduce the Orbit Stormwater Master Servicing Plan (MSP) project on December 4 at Innisfil Town Hall. Community members are invited to drop in between 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to learn about the project, ask questions, and share feedback with Town staff and project consultants.

The development of the Orbit Stormwater MSP will support effective and sustainable stormwater management. Key objectives of the MSP include:

  • developing a preferred approach to provide the appropriate stormwater infrastructure required to support the Orbit development
  • identifying and prioritizing areas of concern to address stormwater-related issues
  • exploring sustainable solutions that balance environmental impact with cost-effectiveness

The study will integrate the findings of the South Alcona Flood Reduction Class Environmental Assessment and build upon the Town’s Stormwater Management Master Plan and Flooding Strategy, with a focus on the proposed Orbit lands.

During the open house, attendees will be able to review the current stormwater conditions in the Orbit development area, learn about next steps, and share their own experiences and insights to contribute to the planning process.

The study includes the first two phases of the Orbit development. For more information and to subscribe to the project mailing list, please visit innisfil.ca/orbit.
