Innisfil, ON – Local business leaders, founders and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to learn more about business assistance programs at the Innisfil Business Support Showcase hosted by the Town of Innisfil Economic Development Office. The event will take place from 5 - 8 p.m. on December 4, 2023, at the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, Lakeshore Branch located at 967 Innisfil Beach Road.

“Innisfil offers a range of services to support the local entrepreneurs, including the DMZ Innisfil incubator and accelerator programs, DMZ All Access workshops and workforce development initiatives,” says Laura Thompson, Manager of Economic Development. “In addition to the Town’s services, there are so many partners we work alongside who provide assistance through business planning, financing, grants, mentorship, education, workshops and more. This is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs and business leaders to meet these partners and learn how they can leverage these resources.”

Throughout the evening, the common area of the library will feature space for business-to-business networking as well as a business support fair where attendees can browse business support providers.

The event is offered in partnership with lead sponsor, Futurpreneur. “This is a great opportunity to meet with local entrepreneurs”, says Enrique Soissa, Business Development Manager for Futurpreneur. “To not only hear how they plan on contributing to the community but also to help them understand that there is a wider ecosystem of support organizations who are ready and able to provide them the resources and knowledge to help build their businesses successfully.”

There will also be two panels taking place within the community rooms. These panels will feature founders who will share their experiences and lessons learned on how to leverage supports to start and scale a business.

  • The first workshop, taking place from 5:30-6:15 p.m. will focus on solutions for prioritizing working on your business to drive growth. This panel is sponsored by Nottawasaga Futures.
  • The second discussion, taking place from 6:30-7:15 p.m. will explore how entrepreneurs can leverage business supports, funding and programming to grow your business. This panel sponsored by NT Temps.
