Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil recently hosted an appreciation event to recognize and thank the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for its financial contributions to the Town and the Innisfil Community Foundation.

“We are incredibly grateful for the contributions made to the Town of Innisfil which support us in providing high-quality services and ensuring we can continue to grow and develop our community,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin.

Since 2001, OLG has contributed $105,782,030 to the Town of Innisfil. Money received through OLG is part of a municipality contribution agreement that goes toward improving Innisfil’s economic and social development, infrastructure, and more.

“OLG is proud to be a vital part of the Town of Innisfil”, said Kathleen Devine, OLG’s Senior Municipal Relations Manager. “Each and every year, 100 per cent of OLG profits are reinvested in Ontario to support provincial priorities. From critical infrastructure to important local programs to community festivals, OLG’s profits are hard at work in the Town of Innisfil and all across our province to build stronger communities. We also appreciate the contribution of gaming site employees at Gateway Casinos Innisfil who are making these communities that much better. When you play at an Ontario casino, you play for Ontario.”

One key recipient of funds received by the Town of Innisfil is the Innisfil Community Foundation (ICF). The ICF provides grants to not-for-profits and other organizations in the region to ensure sustainability, program delivery, and expansion of services. This year’s appreciation event highlighted ICF’s 2023 grant recipients

“OLG’s generosity allows us to be there for local charities when they need us most. Last year, ICF made grants to 17 different organizations because of OLG’s support. We're here to help make Innisfil a better place for everyone, and we are tremendously grateful to have OLG by our side,” says Sandra Rizzardo, Chair of the Innisfil Community Foundation Board of Directors.
