Often behind the scenes, the Executive Business Partner (EPB) team (EPBs) ensure smooth operations within the Mayor & Council Office, Office of the CAO, and our Steering Group. From day-to-day logistical management to project and event support, this dynamic team has the unique advantage of seeing the town from the viewpoints of both Council and administration. Their secret sauce is in the little things—the skillful juggling, prompt interventions, and constant support that advances team or Council objectives, town business, and the needs of the community.

While each EPB is assigned to specific portfolios, they often demonstrate adaptability by shifting focus as required by workload and project needs!

What does all this involve?

The EBPs tackle a wide range of responsibilities to get things done. This sometimes means managing budgets, calendars and meetings or celebrating community milestones like grand openings, anniversaries, and community member awards. EBPs also support conference logistics and a variety of internal and external events and projects. This team is key in stakeholder management, building relationships with staff, community groups, and government partners as well as assisting with resident inquiries to Council and Steering Group.


Year at a Glance
 

  • Supported the update process for Innisfil’s Strategic Plan refresh and Council education and training initiatives
  • Hosted and supported over 40 Council, community and staff-related events, including 7 Neighbourhood Nights and an Agri-Tour for Council
  • Secured over $200,000 in sponsorship through the annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament since 2022 to benefit the Innisfil Community Foundation
