The Town of Innisfil is undertaking storm drainage and roadway work on Killarney Beach Road, from Ewart Street to the Lake and continuing onto Pine Avenue, from Killarney Beach Road to Stewart Road. We anticipate the construction to be complete by September 2022.

Construction stages

Construction will happen in different stages and includes:

  • Installation of storm sewer, new culverts, and re-ditching works
  • Road restoration and base asphalt placement on Killarney Beach Road from Ewart Street to Lake Simcoe as well as a section of Pine Avenue
  • Installation of bike lanes on Killarney Beach Road from Ewart Street to Lake Simcoe

See the below map showing the works along Killarney Beach Road and Pine Avenue.

What to expect

While we work to minimize disruptions, residents should expect:

  • Increased construction traffic on local roads
  • Increased noise during the hours of construction from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Monday to Friday) and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Saturdays) excluding statutory holiday weekends.
  • Increased dust and potential mud tracking on local roads
  • Detour routes to be taken where necessary due to road/lane closures

Killarney Beach Road from Ewart Street to Elizabeth Ave will be closed from June 20 to September 30, 2022 for construction. Essential services such as emergency services and waste collection will be let through when needed.
