"Scrooge the Ticket" campaign returns to Innisfil
Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is launching its "Scrooge the Ticket" campaign for the 11th year.
Between November 15 and 29, anyone who receives an Innisfil parking ticket has the option to donate to the Troy Scott Community Fridges or the Innisfil Food Bank instead of paying the fine,
“Scrooge the Ticket has become an annual holiday tradition that helps bring joy and relief to families in our community,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “I’m grateful to our Municipal Law Enforcement Officers for their compassion in leading this initiative and to our residents for their generous support.”
Monetary donations will be shared equally between the Troy Scott Community Fridges and the Innisfil Food Bank to support their work across the community. Anyone who receives a parking ticket during the campain period can also choose to donate non-perishable food or toys, which will go to the Innisfil Food Bank. Donated items must be of equal or greater value than the ticket, and a receipt of purchase must be provided.
Those who choose to contribute their penalty amount to the campaign can do so by making a payment through the Town’s online system at Innisfil E-Services. For those donating items or wanting to pay their ticket in person, go to Innisfil Town Hall (2101 Innisfil Beach Road) by the end of the business day on December 1, 2025 (4:30 p.m.).
In 2024, nearly $8,500 was collected, bringing the total to almost $42,000 since the campaign’s inception.
