Winter Weather Travel Advisory: Road closures

Update (February 19 at 6:45 a.m.): Both roads have reopened.

nnisfil, ON – Due to whiteout conditions, there are multiple temporary road closures in the Town of Innisfil:

• 20th Sideroad, from Big Bay Point Road to 9th Line 
• Big Bay Point Road, from 13th Line to Guest Road (North End)

Motorists are asked to avoid the areas until further notice.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Winter Weather Travel Advisory for the Innisfil area. Motorists can expect poor visibility at times in snow and local blowing snow, particularly in overexposed areas.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for taillights ahead and be prepared to stop.
