Update: The Phase 1 closure has been extended to Thursday morning on July 27.

(Innisfil, ON) – The South Simcoe Police Service is making the public aware of two upcoming road closures that will impact traffic on Innisfil Beach Road and access to Highway 400.

Closure #1: The Town of Innisfil has received notification from the Ministry of Transportation regarding a short-term closure of the northbound ramp from Innisfil Beach Road to Highway 400. The ramp will be closed on Friday, June 23 at 10 p.m. until Monday, June 26 at 5 a.m. to complete the ramp realignment.

Closure #2: A portion of Innisfil Beach Road, at Highway 400, will be closed from July 4 to 25. Follow detour route signage and allow for extra time. What will still be open/accessible:

  • Access to the commercial and industrial blocks and residential blocks will be fully accessible from Innisfil Beach Road – businesses remain open!
  • Innisfil Beach Road Westbound to Highway 400 Northbound on-ramp will remain open
  • Highway 400 Northbound to Innisfil Beach Road Eastbound off-ramp will remain open
  • Innisfil Beach Road Eastbound to Highway 400 Southbound on-ramp will remain open
  • Highway 400 Southbound to Innisfil Beach Road Westbound off-ramp will remain open

Police are urging motorists to note the following road closures and plan accordingly. Give yourself extra time to reach your destination, exercise patience and follow the detour signs during this period of time. Officers will be in the area to ensure drivers navigate the closures safely.
