Road closure: 7th Line for Metrolinx track rehabilitation

7th Line from 20th Sideroad to Fox Hill Street will be temporarily closed due to Metrolinx track rehabilitation on June 16, 2023 at 6 p.m. to June 19, 2023 at 4 a.m. Local traffic only—no through access. Read the Metrolinx notice for more information.

What is happening?

The Metrolinx corridor maintenance team will be correcting track defects at this crossing that are the result of normal wear and tear. This may involve the removal and replacement of the ballast, the installation of a new track panel, and new concrete and asphalt, depending on the needs of the crossing.

What does this mean for you?

Construction activities at this railway crossing will be taking place during the day and overnight during this weekend closure. Detour routes and signage will be provided for pedestrians and motorists. Nearby residents may experience noise from the use of construction machinery and equipment. However, every effort will be made to minimize disruption.
