Innisfil proclaims Ontario Heritage Week

WHEREAS, Each February, Ontario Heritage Week celebrates heritage in all its forms (cultural and natural, architectural, archaeological and collections), its diverse traditions and cultural expressions; and

WHEREAS: Every community in Ontario has its own unique culture and heritage, which has the power to bring people together, create a sense of belonging and help guide a community in its growth and development; and

WHEREAS: Ontario Heritage Week provides an opportunity for residents of Innisfil to celebrate our Town’s rich history and heritage, and to recognize the work of the Innisfil Heritage Advisory Committee, our community’s other heritage organizations and their dedicated volunteers who help to promote knowledge and appreciation of Innisfil’s rich and diverse heritage and work to preserve and conserve these heritage resources.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Mayor Lynn Dollin, on behalf of Innisfil Council hereby proclaim February 21-27, 2022 as Ontario Heritage Week in the Town of Innisfil.
