The Town has initiated text and map amendments to the Town’s CPPS By-law 058-25 to implement housekeeping updates intended to improve clarity, consistency and alignment with the Town’s Zoning By-law 080-13 and former CPPS ‘Our Shore’ By-law 062-17. The changes are intended to clarify how the By-law is applied. Key changes include:

  • Clarifying permitted uses and definitions
  • Updating exemptions, variation thresholds, and permit requirements particularly within the Shoreline Residential (SR) Precinct
  • Aligning provisions with the Zoning By-law 080-13 and former CPPS ‘Our Shore’ By-law 062-17
  • Correcting technical errors and adding missing definitions
  • Clarifying standards for lot coverage, setbacks, parking, driveways and landscaped open space
  • Reorganizing provisions and tables for clarity
  • Clerical mapping changes to correct errors and restore historical zoning permissions as intended

The housekeeping amendment applies to all properties within the boundaries of Alcona and on the Shoreline within the Town of Innisfil. A copy of the proposed CPPS By-law Amendment along with more information about this matter is available on the Town’s Get Involved website: getinvolvedinnisfil.ca/CPPS.
