Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil has launched a new resource for residents who have recently moved to Innisfil. The initiative has two components, a dedicated webpage and a welcome package that residents can pickup to learn more about the Town, complete with a “new resident checklist”. These resources provide guidance to residents about what services the Town has to offer and what they need to setup to get settled in their new home.

Mayor Lynn Dollin acknowledges that, “It can be daunting to know where to start, and we want newcomers to know that we’re eager to help them get acquainted with the Town. Having new residents feel right at home is important to us, and that means making sure they’re well connected and aware of all we have to offer. From picking up their parking passes and dog licences, to signing up for a library card, our webpage and packages will help guide newcomers every step along the way.”

The information available will also shed light on the different levels of government, including who is responsible for various services such as snow clearing versus waste collection.

Together, the webpage and package provide access to information to ensure residents feel comfortable navigating municipal systems, providing feedback on Town projects, and playing an active role in their community to enhance civic engagement.

Welcome packages are available at the following locations:
