Innisfil, ON – The annual Innisfil Mayor’s Golf Tournament returned to The Nest at Friday Harbour Resort yesterday, with 144 golfers enjoying a day of friendly competition in support of a worthy cause. The tournament raised $76,000 for the Innisfil Community Foundation, with an additional $25,000 generously donated by the Kyle Brandon Traves Foundation at the close of the tournament, bringing the total funds raised to over $100,000.

"Every year, our community comes together on the greens, not just to play golf, but to drive positive change," says Mayor Lynn Dollin. "I am continually inspired by the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and the team at The Nest. The success of the Mayor’s Golf Tournament underscores our collective ability to make a meaningful impact. Funds raised will enable the Innisfil Community Foundation to continue supporting initiatives that address our community’s needs.”

The Innisfil Community Foundation works with local charities and non-profit organizations to tackle critical social issues such as poverty, food insecurity, and mental health. All tournament proceeds will support these initiatives, directly benefiting the Innisfil community.

“The need for assistance and support in our community is growing,” says Sandra Rizzardo, Chair of the Innisfil Community Foundation. “We are grateful to the Town of Innisfil for selecting the Innisfil Community Foundation as the beneficiary of this year’s tournament. This allows us to sustain our support for local charities dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for everyone in Innisfil. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the generous sponsors whose contributions were essential to making this event a resounding success.”
