Innisfil, ON – At the Annual Conference of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) in Ottawa, Lynn Dollin, Mayor, Town of Innisfil was elected to the AMO Board of Directors, Caucus Chair, Small Urban Caucus.

Mayor Dollin held the position of President of AMO from 2016 to 2018 and has held a seat on their Board of Directors since 2011.

“It is certainly an honour to be re-elected to the AMO Board and to work alongside representatives from other municipalities to strengthen the communities we serve,” says Mayor Dollin. “Through AMO, we are able to collectively advocate to address issues and common challenges and develop programs to help maximize taxpayer dollars.”

As a member of the Board, Dollin will help set policy for the association and serve as a key municipal leader in the province.

“Hundreds of municipal governments from across Ontario benefit from their participation in AMO. At the same time, their contribution and commitment to working together makes all communities stronger,” says AMO’s new President, Colin Best, Councillor in Halton Region.

AMO is a non-profit organization representing almost all of Ontario’s 444 municipal governments. During the 2022-2024 term AMO will be particularly focused on matters related to economic recovery and prosperity, planning and growth, affordable housing, ending homelessness, infrastructure investment, broadband expansion, and transit.
