Innisfil, ON –  As part of a school project, Innisfil resident Daya Grover, a grade eight student at Kempenfelt Bay School, designed and built a “Little Free Library” which is located outside the Innisfil Recreational Complex.

“This has been a really fun project for me to do,” says Daya. “I not only got to learn about designing and building the structure to house the books, but also collect books that will keep the library full for a long time.”

People are encouraged to take a book, leave a book, and spread the word about this new community resource.

“We are incredibly grateful to Daya for her vision and work on the Little Free Library and for donating it to the Town,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “I am so impressed with this young woman who will surely accomplish many great things in her future.”

A special thank you to Julie Arts, Store Manager, Alcona Home Hardware Building Centre for donating the materials and Joe Roberts for assisting with the construction.
