Innisfil, ON – With the first significant snow squall of the season in tonight’s forecast, the Town of Innisfil is reminding residents of the plan for snow to help navigate expected wintry conditions.

Snow squalls can result in significantly reduced visibility due to heavy and blowing snow. Residents are asked to assist snow clearing efforts by:

  • Adhering to the overnight winter parking restrictions in place on Innisfil’s roads from midnight to 7 a.m.
  • Removing items such as bins, basketball nets, and planters away from the edge of their driveway
  • Staying back from working snowplows and other winter maintenance vehicles
  • Helping to clear snow around fire hydrants and catch basins near their property

Residents can check the snow clearing status of their street by using the Town’s interactive snowplow tracker. The interactive map shows which roads and sidewalks have been cleared within the last 12 hours.

For those travelling during adverse weather conditions, please clear ice and snow from your windows, lights, mirrors and roof. Slow down, stay in control, and give plenty of space between you and other vehicles.

Residents are encouraged to follow local weather updates to keep prepared and informed. For more information about winter operations, visit innisfil.ca/snow.
