Innisfil Recreational Complex to begin phased reopening starting June 9
Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is pleased to announce the phased reopening of the Innisfil Recreational Complex (IRC) following the fire incident that occurred on May 12.
After weeks of restoration, cleaning, and required safety inspections, part of the IRC will officially reopen to the public on June 9. This includes ice rentals and registered and drop-in ice programs. As part of the phased reopening:
- The Innisfil YMCA will reopen its doors on June 11, with the conditioning floor (workout area), studio, indoor track, change rooms, and multi-purpose room for Stay’n Play.
- The Innisfil YMCA gymnasium is scheduled to reopen on July 7, following the completion of floor repairs and repainting.
- The pool will remain closed until repairs can be made to critical pool operating equipment. A reopening date will be shared once the repair timeline is confirmed.
YMCA members will receive communication directly from the YMCA regarding reopening timelines and service availability.
This marks an important milestone in the facility’s recovery process, and the Town would like to thank the community for its continued patience and support throughout the closure. Further updates will continue to be shared on the Town’s website and social media channels.
