Innisfil proclaims Ontario Heritage Week

Whereas each February, Ontario Heritage Week celebrates our diverse traditions, cultural expressions, and heritage in all its forms (architectural, cultural, natural, archaeological and collections); and

Whereas every community in Ontario has its own unique culture and heritage, which has the power to bring people together, create a sense of belonging and help guide a community in its growth and development; and

Whereas Ontario Heritage Week provides an opportunity for residents of Innisfil to celebrate our Town’s rich heritage and recognize the work of the Innisfil Heritage Advisory Committee, our community’s other heritage organizations, and their dedicated volunteers. These organizations help to promote knowledge and appreciation of Innisfil’s heritage, which helps us all understand our past, provide context for the present, and influence our future.

Now Therefore, I, Mayor Lynn Dollin, on behalf of Innisfil Council hereby proclaim February 17-23, 2025, as Ontario Heritage Week in the Town of Innisfil.
