Whereas the Innisfil Indian Association is a community organization that aims to promote and celebrate Indian culture in the Town of Innisfil, Ontario; and

Whereas this vibrant group organizes a range of events throughout the year, from cultural festivals and community events to educational workshops. Their members come from all walks of life, united by their love for Indian culture and their desire to share it with others; and

Whereas the Innisfil Indian Association welcomes individuals of all backgrounds to join their events and learn more about India's rich traditions and customs. Their unwavering commitment to inclusivity and community building makes them an essential part of the Town's cultural landscape; and

Whereas overall, the Innisfil Indian Association is a community organization that promotes inclusivity, celebrates diversity, and fosters a sense of belonging; and

Whereas whether you are interested in learning about Indian culture, making new friends, or simply enjoying delicious food and music, the Innisfil Indian Association has something for everyone.

Now Therefore I, Mayor Lynn Dollin, on behalf of the Town of Innisfil hereby proclaim August 15, 2024, as Indian Independence Day in the Town of Innisfil.
