Innisfil, ON – As the long weekend approaches, the Town of Innisfil is reminding residents of holiday hours, fireworks safety, and park information to help everyone have a safe, memorable Canada Day.

Holiday hours

Innisfil Town Hall will be closed for the statutory holiday on Monday, July 3.

Fireworks

Fireworks can be set off without a permit on Canada Day between dusk and 11 p.m. Fireworks cannot be set off on land owned by the Town without written consent and must meet certain setback criteria regarding structures, land used for livestock, retirement homes and related care facilities, and places where highly flammable substances are commercially manufactured, stored or sold. Do not discharge fireworks during strong winds or unsafe weather conditions.

Residents are encouraged to respect neighbours while using fireworks and review the Fireworks By-law and safety information at innisfil.ca/fireworks. A controlled fireworks display is happening at Friday Harbour Resort on Canada Day at 10 p.m.

  • Do not use the 15-minute docks for long-term docking
  • Dogs must be on-leash and are not allowed on sports fields or beaches (excluding the dog beach at Beach 6)
