Innisfil Business Showcase featuring a networking and business support open house and educational speakers

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is excited to announce the upcoming Innisfil Business Showcase event being held on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library. This event will bring together entrepreneurs and business leaders and will showcase resources available through regional business support partners. 

“As we pursue our economic development goals, it’s crucial to empower local businesses through knowledge and connection,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “The Innisfil Business Showcase event embodies our strategic vision to enhance community collaboration, connect businesses to the support they need, and position Innisfil as a hub for investment and growth.” 

“Our government understands the vital role economic development initiatives have in strengthening small and rural communities across the province,” says Lisa Thompson, Minister of Rural Affairs. “With cost-share funding from the RED program, the Innisfil Business Showcase creates valuable regional economic and networking opportunities by connecting local entrepreneurs and business leaders.”

This event will feature the opportunity to network with community stakeholders, meet business support partners and learn from expert speakers. Drop in to our open house between 5-8 p.m. to speak with business support partners from across the region and learn about resources and support to help your business thrive. Breakout workshops will take place throughout the evening, visit the event webpage for details on the workshop and speaker schedule. The event panel discussions feature industry experts including: 

  • Emily Baillie, Digital Marketing & AI Strategist, Trainer, & Professor, Compass Content: Using AI for Brand and Marketing Strategy 
  • Nicole French, Founder & Marketing Strategist, Collaborative Haus Marketing: HR From an Entrepreneur’s Perspective. 

"Our region has a number of business support partners who are eager to help local businesses thrive,” says Laura Thompson, Manager of Economic Development at the Town of Innisfil. “This is a great opportunity for the business community to come out, speak directly with these support partners and learn first-hand about resources, programming and funding opportunities available to them.” 

The Innisfil Business Showcase event will be held at the Innisfil IdeaLAB & Library’s Lakeshore Branch (967 Innisfil Beach Road) from 5-8 p.m. Event partners include DMZ Innisfil, Innisfil IdeaLAB & Library, Nottawasaga Futures, and NT Temps.
