My journey with the Town of Innisfil began with my decision to move away from Toronto and come back closer to where I grew up and went to school. Not long after joining the Revenue team in the Revenue & Receipts Processor role, another position opened within our team for a Property Tax/Assessment Analyst. I believed the position better suited my expertise and decided to pursue the position and was awarded the position! This showed me the Town’s commitment to investing in its staff. Here is where my journey began down the property tax side of revenue.

After two years with the Town, I consider the team I work with my family away from home. They have been extremely supportive of my growth within the team, and I can always look to them for answers and they can always come to me with questions. Together, I believe we have become a well-oiled machine. I cannot count how many times colleagues have volunteered to assist in other areas outside of their duties to ensure no one person was overburdened. I am proud to work alongside such professionals and I can truly say that I have made some friends and mentors because of it.

What makes the Town of Innisfil a great place to work? An important one is the ability to work from both home and office. Having the flexibility to work from home when needed has saved me more than a couple of times when life has come calling. The other big one is how much I’ve grown professionally over my time with the Town, and I can say that it is in large part due to those individuals I have had the pleasure to work with.
