Employee Feature: Carla's Story

For me, my journey has just started with the Town of Innisfil. As a new employee, I’m in awe of how friendly and welcoming everyone has been—through the recruitment process, my first day on the job, and each day as I meet more new faces. I instantly felt like part of a team that wants to collaborate and work together for the benefit of the community and the residents we serve. I love the people-focused approach that instantly makes you feel welcome, unified and like you belong.

In my first few weeks on the job, I had taped my daughter’s drawings onto the wall of my office to make it my home away from home. As a surprise, my co-workers framed each one of those pictures and hung them up nicely for me. This is one of those special moments I will never forget.
